ABSTRACT: As the global pandemic continues, debates have arisen around the safety and timetable of moving forward with in-person sessions. As this continues the need for mental health services among children is increasingly important. This may leave clinicians feeling unsure how to proceed while balancing clients mental health needs with health and safety guidelines. This presentation will provide practical steps and resources clinicians can use as they navigate this unprecedented time.
OBJECTIVES: 1. Participants will learn two strategies to talk to children and their families about resuming in-person sessions. 2. Participants will learn how to clean and disinfect their playroom and office environment according to APT and CDC guidelines. 3. Participants will be given resources to use as they transition back to in-person sessions.
