LLUVIA BOTELLO, MA, LPC
We all have experiences and situations that change our lives. I am in the mental health field to assist others in understanding their full potential. I have a passion for the healing arts and am dedicated to the combat for social justice on an individual level, community level, and systemic level. I was born and raised in the El Paso, Texas border towns and am very familiar with the different areas of cities. Having worked in the mental health field for over 11 years, I have had the opportunity to work with the diverse populations in our area. My commencement in the field was working with adults in the substance abuse treatment community. I have a license in chemical dependency counseling. After obtaining a masters degree in mental health counseling from Webster University, I then moved to work with younger individuals in the criminal justice system and continued to refine my skills in evidence-based practices and expressive arts. My roles now are wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, and mental health therapist working with youth ranging from ages five to fifteen. I am new to the play therapy field and am looking forward to lots of fun and more learning. I have found that different modalities work for different individuals and we are all unique!
